Your application for a cleanfill or waste operation licence must be accompanied by the licence application fee.
In considering whether to grant or refuse an application for a licence, we will take into consideration the following factors:
- Any relevant resource consents administered, or that will be required, by the Council and the Regional Council in terms of the Resource Management Act 1991
- Previous use of the proposed land
- Previous compliance history of the applicant
- Any other factor which the Council considers to be relevant to the Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw 2023
Your application will be processed and a decision issued within 20 working days. If a licence application is refused, we will provide you with written reasons for our decision.
