The Garden of Tāne is a beautiful scenic bush in Akaroa criss-crossed by a maze of tracks linking together the adjoining historic cemeteries, a wonderful children's playground, and two spectacular view points over the harbour.

Multiple tracks meander through the Garden of Tāne. Discover mature exotic trees and native regeneration, beautiful birdsong, lovely views and a rich botanical and human history. After wet weather, the track can get very muddy and slippery. Wear sturdy footwear and take care. |
