| Description |
Starting from Te Oka Bay Road, 500m North of the Magnet Bay Road junction, the track traverses and descends through bush. After approximately 600m across a large grassy clearing, there is a signposted hard right turn, and the track descends steeply, re-entering the bush and dropping to the Te Kaio Stream. Just before the river crossing, there is a signposted 10-minute return track to visit a waterfall. After crossing the river, the track climbs gradually through the bush until arriving at a stile at the junction with the Middle Spur Track. |
| Warning |
In winter, tracks can be wet and slippery, so please proceed with caution. After heavy rain, the Te Kaio Stream may be impassable. |
