Section 48(1) of the Local Government Official Information Act (LGOIMA) sets out the various grounds on which the public may legitimately be excluded from a meeting that they would otherwise be entitled to attend.
All public excluded (PX) or closed agendas and minutes and notes are reviewed to determine if they can be released. Documents that have been approved for release can be located on the agendas and minutes page.
From March 2024 the Christchurch City Council holds Council or information sessions and workshops in public by default. For closed Informal Council meetings information sessions and workshops that took place before this date, see below for a list of topics covered between 2022 and 2024:
