Details
We’re installing peak-time bus lanes in both directions along Lincoln Road between Wrights Road and Annex Road.
Works include the undergrounding of power and communications networks, removal of overhead poles and upgrading of sewer, water and stormwater infrastructure along Lincoln Road. Sewer upgrades will extend to Curletts Road.
Phase 1 - Investigations
From Monday 8 June 2026, our contactors will be on site carrying out investigation work, which is required to understand the underground service locations and condition, as well as any potential clashes or risks to construction.
Works will take place on:
- Lincoln Road (between Wrights Road and Annex Road).
- Sylvan Street (between house number 14 and Lincoln Road).
- Domain Terrace (between house number 112 and Lincoln Road).
Traffic impacts
- Temporary traffic management (road cones, signs) will be installed to keep our team safe while working. This will include reductions in lanes, shoulder closures, reductions in lane widths, manual traffic control, and the temporary removal of on-street parking in the working area.
- There may be some traffic delays and changes to traffic management. Please follow all signage and instructions from our team on site.
- The speed limit will be 30km/h through the site to keep our contractors safe.

Phase 2 - Construction begins
Construction will start from mid-June once investigations are complete.
Traffic impacts
- Right hand turns across Lincoln Road to businesses and residential properties will be restricted for the duration of the project.
- At times, there will be a reduction in lanes, shoulder closures, turning lane closures, side road closures, and manual traffic control. Detours will be in place where appropriate. The contractor will provide notification prior to large impacts going in place.
- Most of our work will take place between 7am – 7pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend or night work may be required. You will receive further notification from the contractor prior to this happening.
- Temporary traffic management (road cones, signs) will be installed as part of the works. There may be some traffic delays and changes to traffic management. Please follow all signage and instructions from our team on site.
- There will be no on-street parking while we are working in the area.
- A 30 km/h speed limit will be in place so we can keep our team and everyone safe.
- Those who commute through the area are encouraged to use alternative routes during the construction works.
Information for residents and businesses
- Access to residences and businesses may be temporarily impacted at times, our contractor will provide more information prior to this happening.
- The nature of the work that we are doing will generate noise, dust, and vibrations.
- At times, several footpaths and pedestrian crossings will be closed while our crew is working. Temporary pedestrian crossings will be in place.
- Please advise if you have any specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, large deliveries, home help and any planned works.
- This work will require several planned water shut-offs. If you are affected, you will receive further notification from the contractor prior to this happening.
- Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day. Our team will move them and return them, if needed.
