Details
- The existing skate and scooter park will be redeveloped to create a new 'plaza style' facility. Adjacent to this, the play space will also be upgraded, including the installation of new swings and a hamster wheel.
- Access to Wycola Park will be closed via the Hei Hei Community Centre entrance at times, however, entry to the park will remain open from behind the Wycola Avenue shops and the northern Manurere Street entrance. Pedestrian walking access to the hockey pitch will remain open at all times.
- A limited number of car parking spaces (approximately 10) will be temporarily unavailable during the construction period. The remainder of the car park will remain accessible and operational.
- Christchurch City Council has engaged City Care to undertake these works.
- The project is expected to take approximately thirteen weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions.
