Why |
Footpath resurfacing is done when existing paths start to deteriorate and become harder to maintain. It helps remove trip hazards and improve accessibility and pedestrian safety, while also improving the overall condition of the network. |

Details
Work on your road
Before resurfacing your footpath, our contractor will inspect the area and complete any preparation works needed ahead of the new asphalt surface being laid. Once that’s complete, they’ll come back to carry out any berm repairs that might be needed.
What you need to know
Vegetation/tree trimming: It’s the property owner’s responsibility to make sure there is no vegetation extending out over the footpath area. Please ensure any overgrown vegetation has been trimmed, so our contractor can work safely. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please take notice of the ‘No parking’ signs, which will be put out in advance of the work. If your vehicle remains in the work area, we may need to tow it to a nearby location outside the work site.
You will still have access to your property during the work period. Traffic management (Temporary One-way system) may be in place to manage this access and the speed of vehicles driving through the work site.
Please let the contractor know if you have any specific requirements for property access, such as for medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or other planned work on your property.
Asphalt contains hot bitumen, which can reach temperatures between 150 and 200 degrees Celsius – hot enough to cause severe burns. Always keep a safe distance from paving operations and never approach hot materials.
Residue from the new surface can stick to your shoes or car tyres – please be mindful of this when entering your garage or home.
The work may cause noise and vibrations at times – our contractor will keep this to a minimum. Work may take longer if the weather is not suitable.
We know roadworks can be disruptive, and we’re grateful for your cooperation and understanding.

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
