Details
We're carrying out works to relocate power services along Anzac Drive as part of the wider red zone regeneration programme.
This involves:
- Relocating existing power services along Anzac Drive.
- Removing old end of life power infrastructure.
- Hydro and air excavation to safely expose and work around underground services.
- Reinstating the footpath, berm, and road shoulder on completion.
Traffic Impacts
- A shoulder closure will be in place on Anzac Drive, Wainoni Road and Pages Road.
- A temporary speed limit reduction will apply through the work zone to keep everyone safe.
- Cyclists will be detoured via New Brighton Road, please see onsite signage.
- The bus stop outside the Bexley Garage on Pages Road will be temporarily relocated 200 metres southwest.
- New Brighton Road will be closed between 5 October and 6 November 2026, please see the map below.
Information for residents and neighbours
- Property access will not be affected.
- Sections of the footpath will be closed with a detour in place for pedestrians, please follow the onsite signage.
- There will be construction noise at times, particularly during hydro excavation, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
- Please look out for CORDE staff and follow the signage on site. If you need direction, please approach a staff member who will be able to assist.
We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
