The Harry Ell track was named after naturalist and visionary, Harry Ell, without whom we would not have so many amazing public reserves in the Port Hills.

| Description |
There are a number of entry points on the track from Dyers Pass Road and from Victoria Park. From Sign of the Takahe, head up the well-maintained track and gradually climb through a mixture of native and exotic woodland before emerging on Summit Road. Sign of the Kiwi is only about 100m from this point. Get ready for this track using Plan My Walk(external link) by the NZ Mountain Safety Council.
