District Plan fees

City Council fees for the district plan for 2026/2027.

  • Fees and charges set under section 36 of the Resource Management Act 1991, having regard to the criteria set out in section 36AAA and in accordance with section 83 of the Local Government Act 2002.
  • Set under the Special Consultative Procedure.
  • GST inclusive (15%).

Regulatory service

Privately requested plan changes  Fee
Minimum application fee payable at the time of lodging a formal request for a change to the plan $20,000.00
Any additional time and cost incurred beyond that covered by the Minimum Application Fee (invoiced separately) Actual costs recovered
All time spent on private plan change requests will be charged at the following hourly rates:
Senior Council Officer (administration) $160.00/hour
Planner and specialist input (junior and intermediate level) $220.00
Senior Planner, Principal Advisor, Team Leader, Programme Manager and specialist input (senior level) $250.00
