Learn how to get ready for and deal with large-scale emergency situations.
Students will learn the difference between an everyday emergency and one that requires a larger response, and what to do before, during and after the event.
Focus your experience by choosing from earthquakes, floods, pandemic, tsunami or storms.
We are learning to:
- Identify the difference between every day and large-scale emergencies.
- Understand what a Civil Defence Emergency is.
- Identify the main natural disasters that can affect our city.
- Name some actions we can take before, during and after the disaster event.
- Explain what needs to go into a home emergency response kit.
- Make a plan to help our whānau, family and friends be prepared to deal with a natural disaster event.
