Only the driver can submit an explanation, and you will need to provide as much information as you can.

Responding to your application

We are currently taking approximately six weeks to respond to applications. Please do not make a payment until you receive a response.

If you have not received a response after six weeks, please email parking@ccc.govt.nz to check on the progress of your application.

Any personal information about you or any other person contained in your explanation will be held by Christchurch City Council. The purpose for this is to process the infringement notice issued to you.

You are entitled to see information about you that is held by the Council and that can be readily retrieved. You may ask for the information to be corrected.

The information will be shared only with those units of the Council involved in processing your infringement notice. However, the Council may be required to release the information to any person or organisation making a request for it under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
